How'd You Like to Be Noah
1.         Do you know the story of Noah and his ark,
How one day God came to Him and said he must embark
On a fateful journey while it rained for 40 days.
Noah's job was to make sure all the animals were saved.

Ch.     Well, how'd you like to be Noah with an elephant by your bed,
A giraffe in your dining room, a rattlesnake above your head,
With monkeys in the attic and your ceiling covered with bats?
Lions and tigers and bears all around, how would you like that?

2.         God said to Noah, I'll bring a flood upon the earth,
'Cause people have been evil and that is all their worth.
But you have been a good man, so you and your family
Get to build this great big ship and float on the flooded sea.

Ch.      Well, how'd you like to be Noah with an elephant by your bed,
A giraffe in your dining room, a rattlesnake above your head,
With monkeys in the attic and your ceiling covered with bats?
Lions and tigers and bears all around, how would you like that?

Br.       God said, Noah save the animals, gather them two by two,
And lead them all inside the ark where they'll be safe with you.

3.         So Noah got ready, he obeyed the Lord's command.
The water rose up and up until there was no visible land.
And for 150 days or so inside that ark they sat,
Till the flood subsided and they landed on Mount Ararat.

Ch.       Well, how'd you like to be Noah with an elephant by your bed,
A giraffe in your dining room, a rattlesnake above your head,
With monkeys in the attic and your ceiling covered with bats?
Lions and tigers and bears all around, how would you like that?

Happy Voices

Lyrics by Joe Hummer     Music by Mark E. Ellis

1.         I love those happy voices worshiping in song
They tell me of his blessing, they keep my spirit strong
I love those happy voices that lift my Lord on high
Proclaim His mighty majesty with praise that glorifies

Ch.       Happy voices keep on singing
            Singing through the darkest night
            Happy voices keep on singing
Singing till the way is bright

2.         I love those happy voices, they fill my heart with glee
They sing of my redeemer, He's more than life to me
I love those happy voices, Hallelujah praise the King
Give glory to the Lamb of God for He's my everything

Ch.       Happy voices keep on singing
            Singing through the darkest night
            Happy voices keep on singing
Singing till the way is bright

3.         I love those happy voices that fill the house with praise
That glorify the Savior, who's blessed me in all ways.
I love those happy voices, Praise God for what He's done
Let's all rejoice in gladness for the blessing of God's Son

Ch.       Happy voices keep on singing
            Singing through the darkest night
            Happy voices keep on singing
Singing till the way is bright

God Will Provide

Music and lyrics by Mark E. Ellis
1.         On days when you feel down
And it feels like things won't turn out right
There are three little words I want you to say,
            God will provide.

2.         On nights when sadness comes
And it seems so long until the morning light
Just say these three little words once or twice in your mind,
            God will provide.

Br.        God will provide because He loves you.
God will provide because He cares,
God will be with you in your sadness.
He's promised to always be there.

4.         At times when you feel frightened
And it seems like you can't find a place to hide
Just remember to say these three little words
            God will provide.

Holy Spirit Stew

Lyrics by Joe Hummer   Music by Mark E. Ellis

1.         Let's take a little sunshine
And put it in a bowl
            Then we'll add in just
            A pinch of joy too
We'll put in a dose of blessing
And some mercy in the dressing
Then just a few things more
            Before we're through

2.         We have to put some love in,
            And a pretty rainbow too
            A golden yellow sunflower
            And some morning dew
We'll mix it with a moonbeam
            Then it will be complete
            It will be a blessing
And oh so good to eat

Ch.1     It's a Holy Spirit Stew
            It's a Holy Spirit Stew
            Every bite you take
Is oh so very, very good for you

Ch.2     It's a Holy Spirit Stew
            It's a Holy Spirit Stew
There is a blessing in it
That God has given just to you

Did You Ever
Words and music by Mark E. Ellis

            1.         Did you ever, did you ever, did you ever see a pig?
Did you ever see a pig that was wearing a wig?
If you ever saw a pig that was wearing a wig,
What does that say about you?

Ch.      It says you're a person with imagination.
It says you're a person with good concentration.
It says you're a person with stories to tell
And I bet you tell them well.

            2.         Did you ever, did you ever, did you ever see a mouse?
Did you ever see a mouse that was building a house?
If you ever saw a mouse that was building a house,
What does that say about you?

            3.         Did you ever, did you ever, did you ever see a cat?
Did you ever see a cat that was wearing a hat?
If you ever saw a cat that was wearing a hat,
What does that say about you?

            4.         Cow -- take a bow

            5.         Frog -- out for a jog

            6.         Duck -- driving a truck

Put On A  Happy Face
Lyrics by Joe Hummer     Music by Mark E. Ellis

1. I've put on a happy face
One that sorrow can't erase
Now I'm safe by Jesus' side.
In His word I will abide.

2. I've put on a happy grin
Cause Jesus let the sunshine in
He's the light that shows the way
Guides us through the darkest day
Chorus
I will serve Him to the end.
'Cause He's my Savior. He's my friend.
And He loves me, this I know
For He died to tell me so.

3. I've put on a happy glow
Cause Jesus let His love light show
He shined His loving light on me
Cleansed my soul and set me free
Instrumental - MAKE KIDS SMILE
Chorus
I will serve Him to the end.
He's my Savior. He's my friend.
And He loves me this I know,
For He died to tell me so.

4. I've put on a happy grin
'Cause Jesus let His love light in
Loving Jesus, gentle Lamb
In His Grace and care I am

No Manger Scene

Words by Al Perron, Music by Mark E. Ellis

1.         This year there'll be no manger scene because some take offense.
They shake their heads and wave their hands as though they had good sense.
It seems the birth of one small child to some folks posed a threat
And strangely, to this very day, the fear continues yet.

Ch.      Climb high upon your ego, man. I'm sure you'll feel quite tall.
Now try to rub out every star. Be sure to get them all.
But if somehow your efforts fail to wipe the heavens clean.
Take pride in your accomplishments; you've stopped the manger scene.

2.         They cast the name of Jesus Christ out of factories and schools
And changed the meaning of His birth to fit their man-made rules.
But even if they could destroy each Bible in the land
They can't erase a universe inscribed by God's own hand.
            Repeat chorus

Br.        But you can't stop what Jesus brings.
The promise of the newborn king.

3.         For all throughout the universe God's glory has embossed
The stars to tell the story of the serpent and the cross.
"And let them be for signs," He said, to all creation bring
The virgin birth, the murdered son, and triumph of the King.

Ch.      Climb high upon your ego, man. I'm sure you'll feel quite tall.
Now try to rub out every star. Be sure to get them all.
But if somehow your efforts fail to wipe the heavens clean.
Take pride in your accomplishments; you've stopped the manger scene.

End:     All praise Christ the King.

Won't You Walk With Me
Words and music by Mark E. Ellis
1.         God won't you walk with me as I go through my day?
Won't you be there to guide my step, to always show the way?
God won't you walk with me, to shelter me from above?
Keep me safe from evil and sin, protect me with your love.

Ch.       The road of life is perilous. There's danger at every turn.
Your guiding hand will help me with the lessons I must learn.

2.         God won't you walk with me as I travel life's long road?
Help me bear my burdens, Lord. Lighten my heavy load.
God won't you walk with me and help me find my way?
Be there to turn me right again if I should start to stray.

Ch.       The road of life is perilous. There's danger at every turn.
Your guiding hand will help me with the lessons I must learn.

3.         God won't you walk with me, forever at my side.
Be my light through dark of night, always be my guide.

God's Special Angels
Words and music by Mark E. Ellis

1.        Little Joe just smiles when the other kids call him names.
He knows they don't understand. He knows they're not to blame.
They call him retarded 'cause he's not like all the rest.
But his mama says he's a child of God, he is specially blessed.

2.         Every sunny morning, Morris goes out for a walk.
He is always hoping that someone will stop and talk,
But most just pass him by, being careful to stay clear.
What do you say to a blind man? It's his white cane that they fear.

Cho:   They're God's special angels, the ones God loves the best.
The special ones that He sends here to teach all the rest
That what is most important is what's inside our hearts.
He doesn't love us for what we do; He loves us for who we are.

3.         Mary doesn't go out much; she feels unwelcome in the world.
She's been told she's different since she was a little girl.
But it's not a handicap that she can't hear what people say.
She is just like they are, she just hears in a different way.

Cho:  They're God's special angels, the ones God loves the best.
The special ones that He sends here to teach all the rest
That what is most important is what's inside our hearts.
He doesn't love us for what we do; He loves us for who we are.

Treasures

Lyrics by Joe Hummer      Music by Mark E. Ellis
1.        There are treasures made of silver, there are treasures made of gold.
There are treasures that are new. There are treasures that are old.
But the treasures that I cherish more than anything at all
Are the peace and joy I get from knowing Jesus.

Ch.     Praise the Lord, praise the Lord,
Hallelujah, sing for joy and praise the Lord.
Yes the treasures that I cherish more than anything at all
Are the peace and joy I get from knowing Jesus.

2.         There are treasures of the heart and there are treasures of the mind.
There are treasures for the moment and treasures for all time
But the treasures that I cherish so much more than all the rest
Are the peace and joy I get from knowing Jesus.

Ch.     Praise the Lord, praise the Lord,
Hallelujah, sing for joy and praise the Lord.
Yes the treasures that I cherish more than anything at all
Are the peace and joy I get from knowing Jesus.

BOO
Words and music by Mark E. Ellis
1.        Johnny's dad was coming up the stairs when BOO, Johnny scared him.
And Johnny's mom was coming through the door when BOO, Johnny scared her.
Johnny thought that it was really cool to scare his family and all the kids in school.
And even though he knew that it was mean he liked it when they yelled and screamed.

2.       So Johnny hid when he heard his brother coming and BOO, Johnny scared him.
He hid at school when the other kids went by and BOO, Johnny scared them.
His dad and mom knew something must be done. Only Johnny laughed, no one else thought it was fun.
They thought and thought about what they could do, then Johnny's dad said we'll say BOO, too.

3.        So one day Johnny was coming up the stairs when BOO, his dad scared him.
The next day Johnny was coming through the door when BOO, his mom scared him.
Finally, young Johnny understood that scaring people isn't very good.
He made a promise right then and there to never, ever again scare -- anybody.

Thank You God For Christmas
by Mark E. Ellis

1.       On the day that Christ was born
I rise early and greet the morn.
Before I put the coffee on
           I pause for a moment's prayer.

Cho.   Thank you God for Christmas.
           Thank you for this day.
Thank you for sending your only son
To us to show us the way.

2,        I walk into the living room.
The kids are already by the tree.
I sit down and tell them
Just what Christmas means to me.

Cho.   Thank you God for Christmas.
           Thank you for this day.
Thank you for sending your only son
To us to show us the way.

Bri.     Christmas is presents and tinsel.
           Christmas is Santa's reindeer.
But let's not forget that Jesus' birth
Is the real reason why we are here.

3.        It's dinnertime and the turkey's carved,
Potatoes baked and the squash is done.
Before we eat we bow our heads
And thank God for His only son.
